Terms of Use
Recompendium is an informational, community-driven, open-source catalog about game recompilations. By using this site you accept these terms.
1. What this site is
Recompendium is a non-profit project that lists and links to third-party projects (static recompilations, decompilation-based ports, fan remakes and tools). We don't develop or distribute those projects: we only point to their public repositories.
2. No ROMs or copyrighted material
Recompendium does not host, distribute or link to ROMs, BIOS files or copyrighted assets. Each recomp or port is code only: you must supply your own legal copy of the game. This site does not promote or facilitate piracy.
3. Trademarks and third-party content
Game, console and company names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used purely for identification purposes (nominative use). Recompendium is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Each linked project belongs to its authors and is governed by its own license.
4. Data accuracy
The catalog is community-curated and automatically enriched from public APIs (GitHub). The information (status, versions, stars, dates) may contain errors or be out of date and is provided “as is”, without any warranty of accuracy. Use your own judgment.
5. External links
We don't control the linked sites or repositories and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
6. Site intellectual property
The Recompendium code is released under the MIT license. The catalog data are public facts about third-party projects.
7. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the maintainers shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the site or the linked projects.
8. Content takedown
If you are a rights holder and believe a link infringes your rights, open an issue in the repository and we'll review it promptly.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date indicates the latest revision.
Effective as of June 15, 2026.
